Political activist Bon Kalindo, has asked UTM Patron Mr. Newton Kambala to intervene in various senior members of the party who are putting their personal interests above than selling their candidate to the electorate Dr. Dalitso Kabambe for victory on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Kalindo has observed that the UTM started on a good note with a good candidate Dr. Kabambe loved by many Malawians as a hope for the liberation of the country from MCP and President Chakwera but they have lost their campaign strategy.
He said it is sad that senior members of the UTM have forgotten that the one who is making Malawians to be in pain and suffering is President Chakwera and his MCP not Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika they are castigating in their rallies.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo has assured the UTM that many of their supporters are stepping down their support they have to the party and they will not vote for Dr. Kabambe saying their preferred candidate is Professor Mutharika who is at the centre of receiving insults.
Kalindo said the UTM is doing what exactly the UDF under Atupele Muluzi is doing, he is busy attacking Professor Mutharika left and right advising the two parties to stick to their manifestos for the people to vote for their leaders.

He has also advised the MCP that following footsteps of a rally held by Professor Mutharika to address their rallies will not help them at all saying a good example is Sunday at the same Mtandire where Mutharika had a rally on Saturday, MCP saw the difference on Sunday at the same venue from 06;00 a.m to 2;00 p.m people were not showing up for the rally.
The activist said the MCP has arranged whistle-stops rallies for President Chakwera on the Lilongwe-Salima Road and a football match at Kammuzu Road to counter-attack Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s whistle-stops campaign meetings on Saturday from Lilongwe to Salima on his way back to the Page House in Mangochi.
He has further advised the MCP to conduct a postmortem of their handouts they are distributing to the electorate claiming that many people are receiving free money, zitenjes and T-shirts and are note ready to vote for President Chakwera on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
“Handouts by the MCP is just a waste of resources which could have gone a long way towards subsidizing prices of essential goods, maize, and procuring medicines in hospitals,” said Kalindo.
He has also appealed to the MCP to stick to their manifesto of what they will do after bouncing back into government than wasting time reminding Malawians of DPP past atrocities saying all these will not change the mindset of Malawians to vote for President Chakwera.
The activist has further advised the DPP never and ever waste time to respond to castigations and insults being made by the MCP claiming that the insults have glorified Professor Mutharika observing that this is making many to be attracted to patronize his whistle-stops campaign meetings.
