A concerned citizen of Malawi Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda, has called on President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to explain to Malawians why the Pension Trust Fund had for 14 months under his rule been running without a Board of Trustees.
Kaliza Banda said President Chakwera, Colleen Zamba and George Jimu are owing the nation explanations that they were issuing decisions in the absence of the Board of Trustees.
She said pensioners in the 5 years of President Chakwera were treated as outcasts, moving up and down the stairs of capital hill for no assistance and many have died without accessing their money.
The concerned citizen has asked the ACB to come in swiftly to investigate President Chakwera, Colleen Zamba and George Jimu for abusing the Pension Trust Fund.
She has also called on President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to arrest all behind inflating the figure for Amaryllis Hotel sale from K43 billion to K128 billion.
The citizen has hailed President Professor Mutharika for having a keen interest in following up Amaryllis Hotel sale expressing hope that action will be taken soon after receiving a Report from a committee in Parliament.
She said President Professor Mutharika has already made a commitment that he will shield no one saying these are the words of the President who wants to retire from active politics in 2030 with clean hands.
Kaliza has claimed that the matter of Amaryllis Hotel is not far from that tragic death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima saying the evidence is there that there was negligence of duty but it seems politicians wants to shield one another.
“President Professor Mutharika seems to be afraid of instituting a fresh commission of inquiry,” she said.
Kaliza Banda has finally reminded the DPP that MCP President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera lost elections because of greed, he did not want to listen to the cries of the citizens, assuring the DPP that if care is not taken, the DPP will find the road to 2030 elections bumpy.
