Bwalo la Chewa sends condolences to Senior Chief Kaomba

Madam Ireen Kaomba.her deaths has shocked many

Bwalo la Chewa Foundation [BOLA-CEFO] has expressed its heartfelt condolences to Senior Chief Kaomba of Kasungu following the demise of his beloved wife, Ireen.
Madam Senior Chief Kaomba collapsed on Thursday during church choir practices and was pronounced dead upon arriving at the Kasungu District Hospital.
The body of Madam Senior Chief Kaomba was taken to Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe for embalming processes and it will be laid to rest on Sunday, 2nd October, 2022 at Chilanga, Senior Chief Kaomba’s headquarters.
In his eulogies, National Executive Director of Bwalo la Chewa Foundation Reverend Flywell Somanje, said the entire membership of the grouping is sudden hearing the news of untimely death of Madam Senior Chief Kaomba.
Reverend Somanje said Madam Ireen Kaomba played an instrumental role during the inception of the grouping organizing women activities to support the grouping’s launch in September, 2019 in Dowa and has been supporting the grouping till the day she has received God’s calling.
He described the death of Madam Senior Chief Kaomba as a great loss to all the Chewa family in Malawi and her name will always be remembered in the history of the grouping that she had a motherly love of encouraging Chewa children to go to school.
The Reverend said Bwalo la Chewa Foundation is going through transformation processes where insults and castigations are the order of the day from fellow Chewas, but Madam Ireen Kaomba stood firm and not be shaken by this saying her love will be greatly missed.

Her husband Senior Chief Kaomba is an advisor to the Chief’s Council in the Bwalo la Chewa Foundation working tirelessly for the establishment of the Malawi Chewa Heritage to be the only voice of the Chewas in Malawi.
