FDH Financial Holdings Limited Group Chief Executive Officer, William Mpinganjira, delivered an insightful keynote on “Setting the PR and Comms Agenda from the C-Suite” at the 2024 Public Relations Society of Malawi (PRSM) Annual Conference and Awards Gala. The event, held at Club Makokola in Mangochi, is themed “Managing Narratives for Enhanced Democracy and Development” and brings together PR and communications professionals from across the nation.
In his speech, Mpinganjira emphasized the critical role of public relations as a leadership function, asserting that it must be aligned with the highest offices of any organization for it to have meaningful impact. “Public Relations is a strategic leadership function that can only work if aligned with the Chief Executive’s Office or any key office and the full leadership of the institution,” he said.
Mpinganjira highlighted the need for executive management and board members to fully embrace the power of PR, encouraging them to support and invest in it for optimal results. “The key is to galvanise Executive Management and the Board to believe in the power of Public Relations and offer it full support,” he added.
