CDEDI Executive Director Silvester Namiwa has urged prominent leaders, including former President Arthur Peter Mutharika, Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa, Atupele Muluzi, Dr. Joyce Banda, and Enoch Chihana, to join Thursday’s demonstrations against the persistent fuel shortage.
Namiwa criticized Minister of Energy Ibrahim Matola and MERA CEO Henry Kachaje for remaining in office despite the crisis.
Namiwa also questioned Leader of Opposition Dr. George Chaponda’s silence, labeling it “questionable.”
