Social commentator Dr. Samuel Lwara has lamented over 3 months of no aid to Malawi from development partners such as the USA, Britain and Germany observing that this has been arriving at because the country’s leaders are arrogance and no justice in the prudence use of donor funds.
Lwara has observed that countries such as Norway, Denmark, USA, Germany and Britain have been pouring billions of dollars to Malawi for development projects claiming that the all the moneys have ended up landing into politician’s pockets for personal needs and not for the citizens of the country.
He gave out an example of Malawi which Great Britain has been giving it pounds since 1964 to alleviate the sufferings of the citizens but to this date, Malawi is still poor, its people are in abstract poverty and the country has no future.
Speaking through an audio clip, Lwara said donor partners have never been happy with the way Malawi has been using their money since 1994 from the UDF, DPP, PP and MCP governments with many Malawians preferring Malawi to go back to one-party state.
Lwara has noted with great concern that there is no way a democratically elected leader can champion corruption in his country observing that corruption has blanketed the country from the president, ministers down to the ordinary citizens.
Lwara has claimed that 8 countries around the world requested for presidential candidates Curricular Vitae (CV) through him and these included for Professor Mutharika, Dr. Chakwera , Enock Chihana, Dr. Dalitso Kabambe saying out of all the CVs submitted, it is only that of Kabambe which came out as an emerging winner
.
He has advised Malawians that as they are going towards elections on the 16th September, 2025 they should not waste time debating who and who to be voted for saying Kabambe has earned trust by the development partners hence to vote for him if the country is to move forward.
The social commentator has warned Malawians that if they make mistake on 16th September, 2025 voting for either Professor Mutharika or Dr. Chakwera, they should forget about anything good for themselves and their country from the development partners.
“The Americans have given us 3 months to make an informed decision of voting for someone who has never been a president before and has clean record of corruption, Kabambe is the name,” said Lwara.
He has disclosed that the Americans and British are not happy with investigations surrounding the death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, claiming that they are on the ground and if they found negligence contributed to their tragic death, Malawi should forget about receiving aid from them.
Lwara said the Americans and British people are all aware that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera cannot investigate the plane crash just the same he has failed to investigate corruption that has rocked his government from the top, down.
He has finally advised Malawians that the ball is in their hands to choose wisely for development partners to trust Malawi or not, they have given Malawians 3 months to choose between politics and development but choosing Kabambe is development for Malawi.
