Fellow Malawians,

The wound of our nation is still fresh. The tears of mothers, fathers, widows, and children still flow. The grave of Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima and the eight others who perished with him is not just a grave — it is a question mark burning in our hearts.

An African proverb says: “The earth may cover the body, but it can never cover the truth.” One day, the truth of what really happened will come to light.

One day the spirits of Chilima and his eight companions will demand an answer.

To vote MCP back into power is to place stones upon the truth. It is to silence the cries of justice. It is to become accomplices in concealing the mystery of their deaths.

A nation that dances on the graves of its heroes will never harvest blessings.” If we forget Chilima, this land will be cursed, and our children will inherit that curse.

Fellow Malawians,

This election is not just about politics — it is about conscience. It is about dignity. It is about justice for the fallen. “The blood of the innocent cries louder than the speeches of the guilty.” No campaign promise, no sweet words, no handouts can erase the question: Who killed Chilima and the eight?

On 16 September, every vote cast for MCP is a stone thrown at the memory of Chilima.

Every ballot for them is a betrayal of his sacrifice. Every support for them is a nail sealing the coffin of truth.

But every vote against them is a candle lit for justice. Every rejection of them is a voice saying we will not be silenced. Every ballot cast away from MCP is a step toward cleansing our land from the curse of bloodshed hidden in lies.

Malawi, let us not betray our fallen son. Let us not betray the eight souls who perished with him. Their spirits are watching us.

Their eyes are upon us. Let our decision on September 16 echo to the heavens: We will not sell truth. We will not bury justice. We will not curse our nation by empowering those who conceal the blood of our leaders.

“The truth may walk slowly, but it never stops on the way.” One day the truth will come. Let us not be the ones who stood in its way.

My pen is mightier than a sword
