Chimbiya Stars of Dedza have been crowned champions of the Central Region Football Association (CRFA) Time for Victory Ministries (TVM) Division One League after edging Simbi FC 2–1 in a tense final played at Chimbiya Community Ground on Saturday.

The victory sealed a memorable campaign for the Dedza-based side, who showed resilience and composure in the decisive match to lift the league title in front of their home supporters.

Mponela FC of Dowa finished the season as runners-up after a convincing 3–1 win over Creck Sporting Reserves at Mponela Community Ground. Dzaleka-based Kalembelembe FC completed the podium, securing third place.

CRFA General Secretary Antonio Manda confirmed that the top three teams—Chimbiya Stars, Mponela FC, and Kalembelembe FC—have all earned promotion to the Central Region Chipiku Premier League for the upcoming season.

“This marks a significant milestone for the three teams. They have met all the competitive requirements and will now compete in the Chipiku Premier League,” said Manda.

The league was sponsored by Time for Victory Ministries, with Apostle Vitumbiko Mkandawire injecting K15 million into the competition. The sponsorship played a key role in improving match organization and incentives throughout the season.

With promotion secured, attention now shifts to preparations for the Chipiku Premier League, where the promoted sides will face stiffer competition in the central region’s top-flight football.
