Bakili Muluzi TV online television station said the world has produced prominent leaders who had power to conquer other countries, rule their countries with an iron fist, make everyone in the country speechless, but they died without a name to write about.
Bakili Muluzi TV said Uganda had Field Marshal Idi Amin Dada, he was feared more than other wild animals, people of disabilities were being thrown into Lake Victoria to clean the cities from the flooding of beggars, he died in exile and his body was buried in Saud Arabia.
He said German had Adolf Hitler, he conquered other countries to be ruled by him, those who opposed his rule were killed like dogs but he was killed in 1945 so to Russia, has the powerful Vladimir Putin, his power is not permanent, he will die like a dog.
The activist said Malawi has one Richard Chimwendo Banda, he had the power to dictate on who police should arrest and be killed and no wonder other people crowned him as “Handcuffs owner” saying he grew legs to become the countries Prime Minister.
Bakili Muluzi TV said memories are still fresh that on 18th May, 1983 Dick Matenje, Aaron Gandama, Twaibu Sangala and David Chiwanga were tragically murdered by the MCP of Kamuzu Banda with hammers on their heads and dumped their bodies at Thambani in Mwanza district.
He said the MCP of that time claimed that their death was due to a car accident as they were fleeing the country afraid of being killed or thrown into the Shire River as crocodile meat for conspiring to overthrow the government of Kamuzu Banda but the truth came outb that the four MCP cabinet ministers were tragically murdered.
The activist said on the 10th June, 2024 a plane is believed to have crashed after hitting a small tree in the Chikangawa forest, three reports were produced but the citizens rejected all the reports that they lacked the truth of what really happened in the Chikangawa forest.
MCP of Kamuzu Banda was known to have killed many people whom they thought that they were dissidents, Kamuzu did not want someone to be above him saying History has repeated this in Richard Chimwendo Banda.
“Chimwendo was untouchable, he was feared within the MCP and outside the MCP, even President Chakwera was afraid of him, today, he is in the same handcuffs and in the hands of police not that of MCP but Malawi Police,” said Bakili Muluzi TV.
On 16th September, 2025 Malawians taught great lessons to Richard Chimwendo Banda that power is resting in people not an individual or political party, the MCP and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera lost the elections, the powerful Chimwendo Banda is no longer powerful, he will die without a name in Malawi.
On Tuesday, the High Court of Malawi committed Chimwendo Banda to Maula Prison after he was discharged from a private hospital in Lilongwe which many said he was faking illness afraid of sleeping in the corridors of Maula Prison.
Bakili Muluzi TV said as History is the bestteacher, Malawians will remember Richard Chimwendo Banda as the master-minder of all atrocities that were committed during the reign of President Chakwera and his MCP.
