“It is now two years my love,” she wrote, capturing the weight of time that has passed since his passing.
She said it has been two years without his love, two years without his friendship, and two years without his protection and care.
In Chichewa, she added that while time moves forward, the sorrow remains deep.

Yet amid the pain, she offered words of peace, saying in Chichewa, “Komabe, pumani bwino mwa Ambuye,” meaning “Rest well in the Lord.”
She closed her message with a promise of reunion, writing, “Tidzakumana kutsogoloko,” meaning “We shall meet again ahead.”
Mary Chilima also remembered the other victims of the June 2024 plane crash alongside her husband.

Her tribute prayed that the beloved souls of all those lost may rest in perfect peace.
The message has resonated widely in Malawi, where many continue to mourn the loss of the vice president and his entourage while honoring their service to the nation.
