In a bold show of political strength ahead of the September 16, 2025 elections, UTM Party President Dalitso Kabambe is today set to present certificates to 46 parliamentary candidates and 69 councillors who will represent the party in Malawi’s Central Region.
The colourful event marks a key milestone in UTM’s campaign trail and underscores the party’s readiness to contest vigorously in the upcoming polls.

Making headlines alongside Kabambe is the party’s newly unveiled running mate, Mathews Mtumbuka, whose appearance has added fresh momentum and excitement among party supporters.
“We are not just presenting candidates—we are unveiling a new era of leadership for Malawi,” said Kabambe, rallying the crowd with a call for unity, innovation, and transformation.
The Central Region, often seen as a political battleground, now braces for a fiery contest, with UTM pledging to bring dynamic leadership and people-driven development across constituencies.
