Sir Lankan Prime Minister Accept To Resign

Sri Lankan prime minister agrees to resign after protesters storm president’s residence over crushing economic crisis .

This happens after protesters broke into the prime minister’s private residence and set it on fire.

Earlier in the day, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was evacuated from the President’s House in capital Colombo before thousands of protestors stormed his residence.

The cash-strapped nation extended school closures because there is not enough fuel for teachers and parents to get children to classrooms, with most pumping stations being without fuel for days.
