Member of Parliament for Blantyre Malabada, Ismael Rizzq Mkumba says his constituency needs K70 billion to be fully developed.
Mkumba says this is unattainable with the annual K100 million constituency allocation. He says for this reason he has set out to launch a Ndirande Trust Limited by July 30th, 2023 in borrowing a leaf from the Press Trust.

According to the lawmaker, the proceeds from the Trust will be used to support the constituents and develop the constituency.
National Planning Commission spokesperson, Thom Khanje, says this is 100 percent in line with the Malawi 2063 aspiration of making the country a self-reliant and wealth nation through, among others, industrialization.
