Govt To Provide Adequate Investiment In Digitilisation

Government has vowed to provide adequate investiment in digitilisation to ensure reliable internet connectivity at affordable rates across the country.

Minister of Information and Digitilisation,Gospel Kazako has made the assurance this afternoon in Lilongwe at the Digital Rights and Inclusion Forum(DRIF)

Kazako says Government is also emphasised the need for effective awareness on the use digital technology inline with the country’s constitution.

But University of Malawi lecturer in media and cultural studies, Jimmy Kainja has however challenged government to enact data protection law in order to protect the freedom of expression.

The Digital Rights and Inclusion Forum is a platform where conversations on digital policy in Africa,policy directions and it hosts diverse skills and capacities to enhance digital rights and inclusion in Africa.
