Aspiring parliamentary candidate for Mzuzu City South-East, Alfred Adams, has given hope to the people of Masasa Township, who have been deprived of development since the dawn of democracy.

Running on the Alliance for Democracy ticket, Adams, popularly known as Hiroshima in business circles, highlighted the dire need for better infrastructure in the area.

“Masasa and Hilltop are adjacent to the Central Business District (CBD), yet they lack even a single health clinic and have inadequate education facilities,” Adams pointed out. “The road infrastructure is poor, and it’s unacceptable that these communities have been neglected for so long.”

Adams urged his constituents to support the AFORD leadership at all levels, citing the party’s founding member, late Chakufwa Thom Chihana, as a beacon of hope for the country’s development, particularly in the Northern region.

During his rally, Adams took time to visit the sick and elderly, before meeting with enthusiastic supporters at the Taonga Community Based Organization show ground.

His commitment to addressing the needs of Masasa Township has resonated with the community, and his message of hope and development has struck a chord.
