DPP Grezelder Jeffrey To Work With All Party Presidential Aspirants

By Suleman Chitera May1,2022

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) secretary general Grezelder Jeffrey has said she will work with all party presidential aspirants ahead of the scheduled party convention.

She said people will elect their DPP president based on their loyalty to the party and good track record.

She added that the party has been dormant for so long and time has come for it to rise to the occasion hence conducting the political rally.

Mwanza Central member of Parliament Nicholas Dausi said the squabbles in the party are part of strengthening their political entity.

Dausi said they acknowledge that DPP president is Peter Mutharika who was duly elected at a convention and there is no two ways about it.

He said despite disagreements in the party, all warring factions remain DPP and under Mutharika as their party father.

“When we exchange bad words on social media, we do that to whose benefit? We are all one and we should acknowledge that honourable Nankhumwa remains our leader of opposition,” he said.
